Through leveraging the team’s experience in the small business, alcohol, pharmaceutical, and real estate industries, Kush Express is comprised of husband-and-wife duo of entrepreneurs led by CEO Manali Patel.

As a licensed pharmacist, Manali understands compliance in a highly regulated industry with experience in quality control and product knowledge. Her partner in life and business, Dravin Patel, offers extensive experience operating and managing liquor stores in New Jersey and has worked with wholesalers and negotiated pricing for his own small businesses. Combined, they have what it takes to create a diverse supply chain and wholesale to licensed cannabis businesses throughout the state.

Through her five years of experience as a pharmacist, she has seen ways in which the industry is lacking. She voices those concerns to the appropriate channels to get the issues resolved to maintain the industry standard. She knows that the cannabis industry in New Jersey is also a growing one that can always use an outside voice to invoke change in compliance. As a clinical expert, Manali Patel can bring her intrapersonal skills with patients into the cannabis industry to educate colleagues and staff to take a health-conscious approach when working with cannabis and wholesaling items for resale in the retail environment.

FOUNDER- DRAVIN PATEL

As a small business entrepreneur, Mr. Dravin Patel started his entrepreneurial journey at the young age of 21 in Laurence Harbor, New Jersey. Through his ongoing 18-year journey, Dravin is now the proud owner of three unique licensed liquor stores across New Jersey. To help him along his path, Dravin took time to develop his business acumen by taking business management courses at his local community college. During the course of his work in the liquor stores, he gained extensive background in the highly regulated liquor sector. He has navigated complex regulatory frameworks, ensuring compliance with licensing, distribution, and marketing regulations. This compliance will ease his learning curve when dealing with the strict regulations of the cannabis market. As a small business owner, Dravin has experience in honing the essential security measures to prevent any diversion, theft, and loss of alcoholic products that are commonplace with small businesses. The strategies, protocols, and security technologies implemented within his current businesses can seamlessly be adapted and integrated into the wholesale cannabis business to safeguard all cannabis products. As a business owner, Dravin also has the know-how of how supply chain management works. He understands that effective inventory management and distribution in the cannabis wholesale business are related to the liquor industry’s practices of managing inventories, negotiating with suppliers, and streamlining supply chain logistics. The knowledge Dravin provides is invaluable and will be directly correlated to the future success of Kush Express as a wholesale leader.
